Episodes 8 and 9 Update

Hey all, just another update here on our upcoming episodes. Episode 7 (which we talked about here) is still in editing but should be out soon. Episode 8 is also already in the editing phase and should be out soon as well. In Episode 8 Steve and Andrew review and discuss the sci-fi thriller Ex Machina.

Episode 9 is already in the bag as well, although we haven't started the editing process on it just yet. In #9, Steve and Andrew review the balls-to-the-wall madness that is Mad Max:  Fury Road. We are also planning a review of Pitch Perfect 2 (our most recent pick for a Five Dollar Review) and we've had our first ever request from a fan! A follower of both the podcast and Steve's Twitch stream has formally asked that we review 50 Shades of Grey... so... yeah. We got that to looked forward to.

Also, just to formally confirm:  Episode 4 has been ruled unusable due to the bug that infected it. For now that one is lost to the wind until we can re-record it at a later date.

Episodes 6 and 7 Update

Hey all, another update here and a second apology about the delay with which new episodes have been posted. Currently both Steve and Andrew, as well as our audio engineering friend Jon, have been slammed at work and operating on very differing schedules. Episode 5 is currently being edited and should be out soon. Although that review discussion of Insurgent is quite late it is still very entertaining as Steve and Andrew are joined by our friend Alex Dussault (@BigBrickPunch) who provides some great commentary on the nature of YA franchises.

Episodes 6 and 7 have been recorded and are at the beginning of the editing phase as well. In Episode 6 Andrew and Steve discuss the recent slew of movie trailers for upcoming releases like Batman vs. Superman and Star Wars Episode VII. In Episode 7 the guys are joined once more by Caleb Wrobel (@NottheMentalist) as they discuss some of the more noteworthy video games of the previous year with a few looks ahead to games of this year.

Oh and as for the now legendary Episode 4 it is still sitting in a bug-ridden limbo. At this point in time we have no idea when it will be posted or if it is salvageable. Jon Abarca is making a return trip to the East Coast in the near future and will hopefully be able to use his technical expertise to recover the audio file.

Thanks again for your patience.

Episodes Four and Five Update

Hello everyone and apologies about the substantial delay for Episode Three, which is up now (finally!). Just a quick update on the next two episodes. Unfortunately the technical difficulties which delayed Episode Three have also be plaguing Episode Four to the point that Andrew and Steve were worried the episode would be rendered unusable. For those two episodes we attempted to switch over to new recording software, but it was far worse than the basic Audacity program we've been using and a lot less user friendly. Our good friend and steadfast tech guru Jon Abarca believes he'll be able to recover the audio files however, so we have high hopes that Episode Four won't be lost to us.

In the mean time we have managed to get our first review completed; it is now on to the editing phase and should be out shortly. In Episode Five we invited our friend and FIST team member Alex Dussault to join us for the unpleasant experience of watching "Insurgent." If you listened to Episode Two, you'll know that Andrew was far from a fan of the first Divergent film and this one wasn't much better. That review will be forthcoming. Thanks for your patience!

Episodes Three and Four Update

Hey all, just a quick update on our next two episodes. We have both Episodes 3 and 4 recorded and in the bag ready for editing. The editing process for these episodes is taking a bit longer due to some technical issues that cropped up during Episode 3. However, they should be on the way in the next week or so. Episode 3 features our friend Caleb Wrobel from FIST Team as we talk about our favorite television shows currently on TV and Caleb gives us a brief rundown of his experiences at PAX.

Meanwhile, in Episode 4 we have quite a few friendly faces showing up to help us out. Caleb returns alongside our good friend Jon Abarca (home from LA for the weekend) to discuss our best and worst movie theater experiences, as well as the video games that cemented our love for gaming. Mike Buckland makes a surprise appearance near the end of the podcast to talk gaming; he also provided some new equipment for us to use!

All that is on the way!

Episode Two Update

Hey everyone, just a quick update here. Hope you enjoyed the first episode in which we discussed our favorite movies from 2014 and are prepared for the upcoming second episode in which Andrew and Steve talk worst movies of the year. Andrew put himself through one hell of a shitty movie gauntlet and Steve laughed at him all the way. The second episode will be live soon once we finish the edits (thanks again to Jon Abarca of JJA Studios)!

Our third episode just finished recording. In it, our friend Caleb from FIST team gives a quick sum up of the things he saw at PAX and then we discuss some of our favorite TV shows currently on the air. In other words, Andrew uses the episode as a platform to pimp his love for Orphan Black. Look for both soon!
